Export and import saved imports

SQL DataTool uses specific importsettings to allow easy import of textfiles (like csv or other plain text files). These settings can be found in the 'Text file settings' section of the 'Import data' screen.

This means that all technical information that is required to import a specific file, can be transferred to other users of the SQL DataTool.

Export settings

These settings can be transferred to other users of the SQL DataTool. You can export and import these settings by using the 'Saved imports' export and import buttons in the 'File' menu.

By clicking on export, a file is generated with the name 'imports.sdf'. The file is saved at the location that is set in the configuration as 'Export location'.

Import settings

To import the file, just click on the 'Import' button. You can select the file in the file selection dialog that pops up, and click on open. The import settings are now transferred to your SQL DataTool.
